The PPGCTA aims to train professionals with quality technical and scientific knowledge to work in industries and service companies in the food sector, in addition to generating research that can be directly applied to the development of the region to add value to products and/or develop and optimize processes.

The Master's or Doctorate in Food Science and Technology graduated from IF Sudeste MG, Campus Rio Pomba, will be able to work in various sectors of the animal and plant-based food industry, among others.

The professional will be able to plan, organize and act throughout the food production chain, within current technical standards and with an emphasis on sustainable practices, in order to guarantee product quality, consumer health, and prevent pollution and environmental degradation.

The skills will be developed by students who are preferably already working professionally. As a result, it is expected that the processes of the food production chain will be improved, increasing the added value of products and making them more competitive.
